She first became aware of her Force abilities during her confinement; she found she could tell by instinct which customers would be the most trouble. Eventually she discovered that she could induce heart attacks at convenient moments. A Detori recruiter found her shortly after she learned to control this power; the body count was substantial. Samanthe spent much of her youth in the Detori training facility on Sabii, learning from Arianah Windryder. Samanthe demonstrated some promise as a duelist but chose instead to focus on assassination, stealth, misdirection and less overt methods of confrontation than her Master preferred. This brought her to the attention of Kishkumen, then right-hand man to Quinis Asanis; Kishkumen saw to it that she furthered her education in her chosen field. When the Sith Empire crushed the Detori, Samanthe was on assignment as an operative of Asanis, investigating the Krath legacy on her homeworld of Teta. She soon fell in with Sarin Keto, who inducted her into the Krath and continued her education. She now functions as an assassin for the Ketos and part-time student to Liora Keto.
