Alex Grant (born January 20, 1989 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada) is an ice hockey defenceman for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. He is listed as 6'2" and 189 pounds. He was drafted in the fourth round, 118th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Grant has also played an important role on the international scene, representing Canada on several occasions in Jr. World Championships, often bringing home a gold. On October 27, 2008, he was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
