Simtek (Simulation Technology) was a British Formula One constructor that competed in the 1994 and 1995 seasons, with little success. The team's worst moment came at the infamous 1994 San Marino Grand Prix after Roland Ratzenberger was killed in a practice accident, followed by the death of triple world champion Ayrton Senna in the race. David Brabham raced on in tribute to Ratzenberger. Ratzenberger's seat was taken by Andrea Montermini, then Jean-Marc Gounon, Domenico Schiattarella and finally, Taki Inoue for a one-off before Schiattarella returned for the season finale in Australia.
