AnRad is a high strength drug designed to negate the first symptoms and halt the advance of radiation sickness. The devise is simply placed the patient's limb and the plunger depressed. When the drug is injected, the results are usually apparent within a few seconds. AnRad must be used within fifteen minutes of radiation exposure or its effect will be significantly reduced.
The AnRad injector is a solid stainless steel cylinder five inches long with a knurled barrel, flat polished tip and a sturdy plunger top. Along the side a narrow flute has been machined. The bottom of the channel is red, with a small red cross on a white square field, simple instructions in several languages and a tiny diagram showing its use. Emblazoned in a large graphic on two sides of the device is the black and yellow triskelion indicating its use for radiation related wounds.
