The IC400 features a mahogany body with a bound top mated to a maple set-in neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls. The ICHRG2 is a similar limited-edition model with an H. R. Giger graphic. The IC400 essentially replaced the IC300 which was discontinued after 2003. The IC400 itself was discontinued after 2007 being replaced by the ICT700.
