Simplicity Designer's Pattern 8172; ©1949; Misses' One-Piece Street Dress. The two-piece-look is formed by a peplum at the sides and is accentuated by side unpressed pleats. The revers are outlined with machine stitching which continues down the front pleat to the hem. The 3/4 sleeves are set in a low square armhole in the fitted bodice and have a turned back cuff. The dress has a five button front closing which ends at the level of the peplum effect. Version B: Same as Version A except sleeves are short and collar is worn turned down.
