The film stars David Niven as the titular Bishop, a man so invested in raising funds for a new cathedral, he's lost sight of his relationship with his increasingly neglected wife, played by Loretta Young. Into this enters the charming angel played by Cary Grant, whose offer of help, while definitely for the good, contains a lesson or two for the Bishop.
