| - In the sovereign nation of Karocco, the Ravens--Pistolera, Vicious, and Cheshire--take down a number of Kobra's henchmen on route to his local stronghold. As they get nearer, it becomes clear they are expected when explosions go off, and they are met by a squad of Kobra soldiers and a "War-Spider". Cheshire quickly destroys the War-Spider, bringing Kobra Prime to the forefront where he congratulates the ladies on their work, and Cheshire tells the rest of the ladies that he is both their target, and contractor. He brings the ladies into his base, where he informs them that he has an assignment for them: retrieve something near Lake Mackachitahoo, in Minnesota, that if he were to send Kobra units to get it they would be conspicuous, but the ladies should blend in.

Black Canary happens to be vacationing in the same area. On her drive up she discusses Oracle's relationship with the "Bat-family", with Black Canary calling her a "Batgirl". During the discussion Oracle makes a point to say her relationship with Nightwing is "strictly professional," so Black Canary asks to be set up with him. When she asks, Oracle ends the conversation, and distractedly drops a book. The unknown person watching her on cameras makes mention that they feel like a voyeur, and she immediately gets an email from "Beeb", whom she notes always seems to catch her at her worst, and they have a short chat. At the lake, Black Canary rents a cabin, and the clerk asks her if there's a convention in town because there's already a few "pretty girls" checked in. The clerk, Gary, shows her to her cabin and they pass the Ravens, who are talking about the amount of money and manpower Kobra has spent to retrieve what they have been sent for. When she asks what there is to do for fun, he mentions "monster watching" for the local lake monster, a "new legend" since she was last in the area, spotted by some tourists. After Gary leaves, Black Canary takes off her transmitter necklace and earrings. In the Pentagon, Major Van Lewton and Lieutenant Providence have gotten something on the trail of their mystery hacker. Despite the hacker being described as a Jedi Master, the "CGI Joes" believe they're inside 24 hours of having his position. That night, the Ravens go diving in the lake where they locate an object with a CCCP stamp on it, which is exactly what they're looking for. Black Canary is standing on a dock admiring the lake when a large shadow appears underneath her, the dock shakes and begins to tear apart, and the head of the Mackachitahoo Monster rises above her.
