Helmut Steiger (born January 5, 1959, in Landshut, West Germany) is a retired West German forward who played for West Germany. He played for EV Landshut from 1976 to 1985, then switched to Kölner EC from 1985 to 1994, then finished off with Landshut until 1997. In 661 league games, he scored 444 goals and 450 assists. Steiger played for West Germany in the 1984 Canada Cup, the 1987 World Championships, and the 1988 Olympics. He retired in 1997.
