Oscar Tobin (c.1879-1957) was a Labour Party politician in the East End of London. President of the Mile End Labour Party, in 1919 he was elected to Stepney Borough Council when the Labour Party gained control of the council for the first time. He was the first Jewish Mayor of Stepney, serving from 1921-22. He subsequently qualified as a surgeon and in 1929 married Ethel Watts, the first woman to qualify as a chartered accountant. The couple combined their surnames and he became Oscar Watts-Tobin. In 1930 he was a founding member of the Socialist Medical Association. Mention here [1].
