Then the Nerd picks out Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Redaction, an hack version of Simon's Quest that improves on mostly everything that was originally wrong with the game. The Nerd rejoices and proclaims that he will not retire, but figures that he has to do something big next and go outside the boundaries of the Nerd Room, hinting at Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. Among the complaints the Nerd has for Desert Bus is the game requiring the player's constant attention (ex: If you don't touch the D-Pad, the bus will veer to the right of the road and if it goes off-road, a tow truck arrives to tow it back to the starting point), the game requiring the player to play for 8 hours only to gain a point (which is even more frustrating given the 45 mph speed of the bus), and the dull atmosphere (such as looping backgrounds, no rewards [in the form of playing casino games] and little to no music in the game).
