Granville "Granny" McDougald was a career United States Army medic who served in both the Great War and the Second Great War. He was assigned to the same field hospital as Dr. Leonard O'Doull during the Second Great War. His skills were such that O'Doull considered him nearly an MD. Late in the war, McDougald was wounded and replaced by Vince Donofrio, a far less talented medic. After the war and his recovery, McDougald served at occupation duty in Cuba.
