  • Michael left school at 16 and worked as a postman until the age of 19 when he moved into computer programming. He co-founded the small press magazine PFJ in 1991. He became a full-time writer in 1999. He is married to Leonia Mooney, who he met at the Irish science fiction convention Octocon in 1990.

His prose work includes the New Heroes series of superhero novels (published in the USA under the series title Quantum Prophecy), and romance novels under the name Jaye Carroll.
