The GRX70 features a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups in an HSH configuration. The GRX70DX is a similar model with sharktooth fretboard position markers. The GRX50 is another similar model with a pickguard. The GRX70L is a left-handed version. The GRX70 was produced simultaneously in Indonesia and China and there may be small differences between the models produced in the different factories. It was discontinued after 2003.
