| - Marcie grew up with frequent financial ups and downs because her dad was in the technology industry. Most of the time, her dad was unemployed. He'd know brief periods of making good money but his job would be downsized or phased out or shipped to India and so they never could stabilize financially. Still, they had some perseverance and Marcie had some hope that she could go into a more stable career. Marcie's parents didn't care if that career was as a janitor or a convenience store cashier as long as it was stable.
Marcie fell in love with Eric and, as long as Duster wasn't around, Eric was a good boyfriend. Even when Duster was around, Eric was kind to Marcie. Marcie even got along with Duster but it bothered Marcie that Eric would follow Duster into trouble.
Then, while accompanying her friend Julie as Julie was doing an assignment for the school newspaper, Marcie was hit with a strange energy. This energy gave her power and she saw this as a good way to ensure stability as she could now become a private investigator or use her power to gain employment in other fields. She feels that her life is turning out quite good but worries that she might be alone in this feeling because her friends, even her Omniteam teammates don't feel so secure or stable.

| - She can manipulate matter within a small region and create things seemingly out of thin air. She cannot create anything larger than one cubic foot in size and she cannot create anything except in the space around her fingers. She also has to have a detailed knowledge of the molecular structure of her creation in order to create it. This limits her as she does not do well in science and does not know the molecular structure of anything. Fortunately, she can acquire a detailed molecular knowledge by disintegrating something. Thus she can make copies of things she has disintegrated but cannot create anything she hasn't first disintegrated. During Omniteam's long term trips, Marcie has served as cook because she cooks up several foods at home, disintegrates them, and then creates perfect copies of these foods later.
Among the things she has disintegrated and can therefore copy as needed: a gun, a single-person flight unit, and John Biyon's right hand .
