A children's story was a story suitable for young children. In 2371, Julian Bashir told Garak the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, referring to it as a children's story. After hearing the gruesome ending, Garak questioned whether the story might be too graphic for children. (DS9: "Improbable Cause")
