The Rastakhiz Party (Aldegarian: File:Hezb-e rastakhiz.png Hezb-e Rastakhiz), also known as the Resurgence Party, was a monarchist political party in Aldegar. Founded in 3572 by Ardeshīr Savārāni a few days after the military coup that installed him as Shah of Aldegar, Rastakhiz was created as the Shahdom's single party with the purpose of supporting the rule of the House of Savārāni. The party had a religious nationalist ideology, seeing Yazdism as the core of Aldegar's national identity. Rastakhiz was primarily supported by the clergy and the military, the two factions that were instrumental in Ardeshīr's rise to power.
