The Phoenix of Courts, or The Five, were formed around 3,900 BBY, by renegade Jedi. The organization was stationed on Hypori, a planet in the Outer Rim. Once there, the five Jedi Masters chosen for the expedition remained docile, meditating day and night in hopes that they would soon be allowed to leave the wretched planet they were ground too. Nevertheless, four were eventually killed while one specific member fled, hoping to inform the Order about what happened.

Once there, the five Jedi Masters chosen for the expedition remained docile, meditating day and night in hopes that they would soon be allowed to leave the wretched planet they were ground too. Nevertheless, four were eventually killed while one specific member fled, hoping to inform the Order about what happened. In general aspects, the Phoenix of Courts was designed and formed by the Council to eliminate the process of murder by Jedi Younglings, in hopes that soon a certain ally would be granted to Knighthood, where they could assist the republic. The only member that survived soon took a stolen starship back to the order, where she was granted a medal for her courageous efforts.
