Africa has been a remarkably conflict-free continent since the Reorganization. Only three main conflicts have existed:
* The Mauretania - Sahrawi Conflict: Mauretania lays claim to a thin fifty mile wide stretch of land in southern Sahrawi leading to the ocean, so that it isn't completely landlocked. The United Nations Counsel on Africa awarded this to Mauretania in 2007, but the nation of Sahrawi disputes that claim and continues to occupy it. A state of undeclared war continues in this region, leading Mauretania to sink farther and farther into economic stress as its access to the sea is cut off.

* The Boer Free State - Orange Free State Conflict: Fought only in international court rooms, this war involved the right to the moniker "Free State". Settled in 2009, it was ruled that any nation wishing to use that name may do so at will. The Orange Free State continues to contest the ruling.
* The Somaliland Rebellion - an ongoing conflict, there are many leaders in Somalia that claim that Somaliland has no claims and no right for independence. Somalia has invaded that nation twice since the Reorganization: Once in April 2006, and later in February 2010. Their army is still occupying the region, but peace talks mediated by Ethiopia are progressing.
