Like all the extant states on the planet, Magdalena's technology is rather primitive compared to our world, but the church can afford both quantity and excellent craftsmanship. • Like all the extant states on the planet, Magdalena's technology is rather primitive compared to our world, but the church can afford both quantity and excellent craftsmanship. Technology seems to be generally medieval or late medieval, although there are some isolated examples of highly-advanced technology, such as the city-linking teleporters, which are however generally Old World remnants. The name-sake "Citadel" itself, which serves as the headquarters and moniker for the entire organization, is a vast, towering fortress "of white stone", located on an island off the coast of the main continent. While the upper parts of the island are generally well-kept and in excellent repair, there is a large underground portion of dungeons, storages, tunnels and shelters cut into the bedrock of the island and partially under the seafloor itself, which is, by the time of the game, generally uncharted and in disrepair. It has become a housing for some monsters, which gives the player an early chance to train. The units of the church are comparable to those of White Russia - outdated military equipment, often mobilized by technology comparable to Britain - steam engines. The Church has excellent infantry (arguably the best in the game, tied with the Third Power) with a characteristic proliferation of resistances and immunities, designed for direct engagement rather than irregular warfare , special operations or support. The vehicle spectrum is quite limited, focused mostly on siege artillery, which is quite capable of keeping up with the other factions. Tanks and support vehicles (such as scouts or APCs) are seriously lacking both in quality and quantity. * White Guard - Halbedier * Conquistador - Musketeer
