| - It's once again time for Mandalorian asks... I'm sorry to say but I have to start this new and exciting episode on a sad note. Indeed, today I received my first refusal for an interview. Even if the reasons was reasonable, from a certain point of view, I can't help but to be disapointed. Yet the name shall remain silent due to my journalistic ethos. To do otherwise would be to invite a flamefest which is exactly what these interviews try to avoid. This having been said, let's get to our interview with the leader of SHIELD... Mandalorian: Jake at Play, leader of SHIELD, welcome.

Jake at Play: It is good to be here. You have superb taste in decor. Mandalorian: Thank you it’s “Second Empire”. Your guild still fighting shows great resilience on your part, getting tired maybe? Jake at Play: I would not state it as tired; we are having a great time and there was an adjustment period for our members. They have grown during this period into some great fighters. Mandalorian: I can believe that, III, NPO, MIN, LUE, those aren't exactly newcomers to the game. Jake at Play: I agree, those are some very large guilds and have excellent fighters. I try not to judge a player on fleet size but on how he manages his fleet, building and attack. So size is relevant, but many people just log on and fill build queues. A good player can come in any size. Mandalorian: Cyjake111 stated that he would stand by his allies and refuse separate peace, does this apply to SHIELD also? Jake at Play: Cyjake111 and I share the same view on this matter. We will not negotiate separate peace. We will be in this until it ends for all those involved. Mandalorian: So it’s honourable warriors on both sides, speaking of sides how's your side doing, coordinating with other guilds? Jake at Play: Coordination between guilds can be tough. I can understand why Trinity was created, if only from a communication advantage. OOBL has and SHIELD have done a great job of working together and they have some seriously strong warriors with whom I have had to opportunity to fight along side in the trenches. BORG and SHIELD have had some good communication during times of necessity. Mandalorian: Was SHEILD a part of the battle at the Hall of Chosen? Jake at Play: Due to the location we were not involved. Mandalorian: But I'm betting you were active nonetheless. The war has been going on for a long time, see the end coming soon? Jake at Play: As for an end I do not see one in sight neither do I plan on one coming soon. That would be a shame I am enjoying this war way too much to have it end so soon. I am sure our opposition feels the same way. Mandalorian: That's good to hear, and grudges growing maybe, some KOS after the war? Jake at Play: I think I have counted three personal KOS lists I have been added to. Much like in business if you competition is happy with you; you’re doing something wrong. I take it as an honour to make a KOS list. My favourite experiences in war to date have been with MIN, it is good they have a sense of humour and have fun during this war, they are honourable opponents. Mandalorian: That's what makes this game fun, I noticed that CoRM doesn't have you in its enemies list, nor do you have them, is it a CoRM vs. BORG only thing. Jake at Play: Yes at this point it is just a BORG vs CoRM thing. I am happy about that from my end as we have enough going on and I have many friends in CoRM. Mandalorian: Yet you’re fighting Trinity, so does BORG wouldn't it be in your interest to be fighting all on the same front line? Jake at Play: We are fighting on the same front we support BORG and OOBL 100%. If they picked up the phone today and said you need to focus on CoRM we would be right there. At this point BORG and CORM see fine with the current arrangement so it shall stay. Mandalorian: Do you have a war time trade pillage policy? Jake at Play: Pillage on enemy trade routes. I did hit one trade route with CoRM by accident as I need to get off the base quicly, but replaced it and sent over enough recyclers for him to kill to active the route. What can I say I am a nice guy! Guild policy is do not involve the un-involved. Mandalorian: So internal trade pillage (enemy to enemy) is acceptable to you, but outside routes are not? Jake at Play: On internal trade we try to establish new trade guildy to guildy with a higher priority on that during war. In the matter of pillage anyone we are at war with is fair game. Mandalorian: Some say that there is outside help, not to SHIELD, but to your side Jake at Play: I have not seen any outside help to our side. I must qualify that with I have not been tracking membership. Many people accused OOBL of that on the boards and it was SHIELD members coming over for a JG or a mission. So I imagine if they looked at the full picture they would find they were mistaken. Mandalorian: What was the biggest battle you've been involved in so for, I mean you look at the ticker, 1000 here 300 there then bang! 3M? Jake at Play: That is a tough one. I have been in many around the 4-6 Million mark with some co-op from other players. I like the 1 vs. 1 battles, in the best guerrilla warfare style. I do not see how people can enjoy the JG stacking wars. I always figure if I am going to loose fleet it will be on my terms and that I have done well. Mandalorian: How would you react should other guilds decide to get involved? Jake at Play: Well it seems all things are as they should be. If other guilds join so be it. It seems they always join from both sides. The Alpha-verse must always have a balance of opposing teams the day it does not we might as well all quit as it would be boring without conflict. I mean seriously who wants this to be a space utopia? Have they considered the consequences if one side ever does "win"? Mandalorian: Well BORG does seem to be disadvantaged. Jake at Play: BORG is never disadvantaged. They may be out numbered but not disadvantaged. Mandalorian: It seems protectorates are springing up everywhere, will that grid lock the alpha verse once your war is over? Jake at Play: From my limited observations protectorates increase the size of the war's not limit them. The more protectorates it seem the more large scale wars. Mandalorian: Any plans for expansion after the war? Jake at Play: Yes, I would like to see SHIELD grow through recruiting in our training guild and strategic mergers into SHIELD. We will be headed for a top ten when this is over and we can focus on growth. Mandalorian Good luck on that, now as for the training guild, are they involved in the war? Jake at Play: Yes they are. I would have liked to see them left out of the war to grow but it seems our adversaries did not feel the same way. So now they fight along with us and I give them honour and respect for doing so. Mandalorian: Thank you Jake at Play for your time, good luck in your war effort. Jake at Play: You’re doing a great job, I will support your efforts 100%!!! P&W has needed refreshment for a long time.
