  • This is an alphabetical list of members of the London County Council from 1889-1965. Members either served as an elected councillor for a multi-member geographical electoral division (with an identical area to parliamentary constituencies) or as an alderman chosen by the council. Councillors had three year terms of office while aldermen had a six year term: each could be re-elected an indefinite number of times. The terms of sitting members were extended during the two world wars and the elections due in 1964 were not held with all members holding office until the county council's abolition and replacement with the Greater London Council in 1965.
