- An amusement park was, according to Spock, "an old Earth name for a place where people could go to see and do all sorts of fascinating things." The Shore Leave Planet was likened to an amusement park because it was a planet constructed for people to come and play. All an individual had to do here was imagine their fondest wishes, old ones they wished to relive or new ones, ranging from fear, love, and triumph. (TOS: "Shore Leave" )

Its next appearance was in "The Sushi Connection," when Kyle Donaldson took Caitlin there on a date after taking her out for sushi at Super Terrific Happy Sushi. Unfortunately, due to Caitlin's hatred of sushi and fear of rollercoasters, this ended with Caitlin puking on every rider of the rollercoaster when the ride did a loop-the-loop.

- An amusement park is a collection of rides and other entertainment attractions assembled for the purpose of entertaining a large group of people. An amusement park is more elaborate than a simple city park or playground, usually providing attractions meant to cater to children, teenagers, and adults. It was also said that the Borg were unable to know fun even if they assimilated an amusement park. (VOY: "Tsunkatse") Hydrans favored theme parks as mass entertainment and every major planet in the Hydran Kingdom had its own theme parks. Linde and Largo became the general managers of a theme park called Propane Dream. (RIS Bouteina: "Propane Dream")
- Players can 'pay to play' Amusement Park from level 20 onward, where they can choose to pay with crystals (which will need to be bought with real money) to unlock the Picture early, rather than waiting until they reach level 21 and unlock it for free, through normal game play. From the Diary:

All an individual had to do here was imagine their fondest wishes, old ones they wished to relive or new ones, ranging from fear, love, and triumph. (TOS: "Shore Leave" ) Upon re-visiting this planet in 2269 and coming under attack with the rest of the landing party, Spock commented that "our amusement park no longer seems content to amuse." (TAS: "Once Upon a Planet") In 2376, when Seven of Nine and Tuvok went on an away mission during recreational shore leave, B'Elanna Torres commented that, "The Borg wouldn't know fun if they assimilated an amusement park". (VOY: "Tsunkatse")

Here the player can ride the Walking Machine, (a vehicle that resembles the Mutated Soldiers from past games) which is armed with two vulcan guns and grants high-jumping abilities. After some path is covered, there will be two routes to be followed by the player: one which goes down and the other goes up. Cursed tomb route: if chosen, this path will take the player down and to advance through an egyptian-like attraction called The King´s Curse" where many people had been turned into Mummies by a substance that soldiers with green suits throw inside of rolling bombs. Living dead route: if the player goes up the stairs, he will enter to "The Haunted Persons Town" a devastated city-like attraction where people were turned into Zombies by another substance which is thrown by orange color suited soldiers. In both routes, the Walking Machine can be mounted but will become useless after a certain distance is covered. All routes will eventually lead to the Big John boss battle .

After that, the next appearance of the amusement park was in "Bring It On," where the rollercoaster was part of one of the competitions. This was the last time that the amusement park appeared until "Silent Butt Deadly," when four members of the group (Wyatt, Jude, Caitlin, and Jen) planned a night at the amusement park in order to give Nikki and Jonesy an interference-free date together. It also appeared in "The One with the Cold Sore," when Jude took Caitlin there to get her mind off of her cold sore. In that episode, Jude managed to cure Caitlin of her fear of rollercoasters and get her to have fun while riding the Vomit Comet. This was also the last appearance of the amusement park, although it was mentioned in other episodes.
