| - This build is plain inferior to the A/Mo version of it. First of all the failure chances are much higher since you only have 1/2 a second to recast SF, secondly why do you need prot spirit when you can just get 0 dmg from every hit when you use A/Mo with WoP? Thirdly, this is more expensive to run since you're buying more sups. I suggest you go and make an assassin. 84.85.197.187 16:56, November 6, 2010 (UTC) "The damage reduction is calculated before Protective Spirit, making it ineffective for 55 builds. -GWW page on SF" --Toraen 17:36, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

So that means that SF damage reduction reduces the damage after Protective Spirit. But as soon as I begin with the damaging skills (1 or 2 seconds) SF begins to act weird. At that moment SF goes before Protective Spirit and the build fails - Leafs in the Wind - this build works fine without shrout of distress as long as Protective Spirit lasts longer than Shadow Form and is cast right before it. I'll explain it on an example: you cast PS then SF and then PS a couple of times and then SF again. The effects stack in the order you cast your enchantments so it looks like this: PS->SF->PS->PS->PS->SF...this means Damage is reduced by PS first an then by SF. If the first PS runs out BEFORE SF then SF will be at the Bottom and Damage is reduced by SF first. The system counts each PS you cast as a different ench with it's duration even though you see it like the old PS would be "overwritten". This means as long as there is a PS "under" SF that would last longer than SF, PS will always reduce Damage before SF. Therefore you don't need Shroud of Distress because the Damage is 0 anyway and you can use Blessed Aura to have a longer lasting PS and Balthazar's Aura. Just cast PS right before SF and you'll be fine with every mob that doesn't use PS ignoring Damage. I've used it so many times without fail, and it's great for my monk who can't otherwise farm Norn faction solo (as far as I know). Thanks for this. Also, SoD is not necessary.Zzuum 04:12, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
