Acclaim Comics was a division of Acclaim Entertainment responsible for creating multiple comic book series based off of Valiant Comics' intellectual properties, including Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Acclaim Comics' vice president and editor-in-chief, Fabian Nicieza, helmed a reboot of Turok that followed newcomer Joshua Fireseed, who would later star in his own video game, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Acclaim Comics underwent a restructuring period in 1999, and following a continued lack of sales, Acclaim ceased its comics production in 2000.
