The Frankópoulos family is a aristocratic noble family of Diadochia who originated in Western Europe, hence the name. The Head of the Family is Karolos Frankópoulos, Duke of Ephesos. The first Duke was Manuel Frankópoulos who was awarded the title by Empress Irene I in 876.
