After befriending him they went on multiple adventures together and had a practically unbreakable bond. Eventually, when Sonic had to go back to his homeworld to prevent the two dimensions from merging, Chris turned off the portal before Sonic could go in and ran off with him, unwilling to let his new friend go. Chris had some sense talked into him by Sonic and he was last seen being carried off by Sonic back to his parents before Sonic went home.

- Christopher Thorndyke (クリストファー ソーンダイク Kurisutofā Sōndaiku?), also simply known as Chris (クリス Kurisu?), is the main human protagonist in the anime series Sonic X and its comic series published by Archie Comics. He is a kind and caring boy who lives in Station Square on Earth. At the start of the series, Chris finds Sonic at the bottom of his swimming pool and saves him from drowning and hosts him, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese for most of the series. Chris, very much like Tails, looks up to Sonic like an older brother figure and is always willing to do whatever he can to help his new friends.

Seine Eltern sind weltberühmt. Seine Mutter ist eine sehr bekannte Schauspielerin und sein Vater besitzt eine Firma für Haushaltsgeräte. Da die Beiden nicht viel Zeit mit ihrem Sohn verbringen können, obwohl sie alles versuchen, schenken sie ihm sehr viel Spielzeug.
