| - Captain Tsubasa: Kaigai Gekito Hen en La Liga (キャプテン翼 海外激闘編 EN LA LIGA), translated as Captain Tsubasa: Overseas Fierce Fight en La Liga and officially named in the Japanese tankobon Captain Tsubasa: Chapter of overseas fierce fight en La Liga, is a manga series of Captain Tsubasa. This series was published after the publication of Kaigai Gekito Hen in Calcio and takes places simultaneously with the events of that series and of Golden-23. It is followed by Rising Sun. En la Liga was serialized in Shueisha's seinen magazine Weekly Young Jump from issue #11 of 2010, released on 2010-02-10 (#2010-02-25), to issue #21 of 2011, released on 2011-04-21 (cover date #2011-05-05), and the final four chapters from issue #16 of 2012, released on 2012-03-15 (cover date #2012-03-29), to issue #19 of 2012, released on 2012-04-05 (cover date #2012-04-19). In total, 58 chapters were published in magazine. The series was later published in tankobon format in six volumes. Volume 2 of the tankobon edition includes Captain Tsubasa: Endless Dream as a special booklet. In this series, a new Spanish character relevant to future stories, Michael, is introduced. The plot revolves around Tsubasa Ozora's Barcelona match against Natureza's Real Madrid in the second El Clásico in the season (the first one taking place in Road to 2002). The final four chapters deal with the final matches of La Liga to define the champion of the season.
