Dick was an American political drama series that ran on HBO from 2003 until 2010 for a total of eight seasons. The show was set against the backdrop of the political rise of Dick Van Dyke and his Presidency, while weaving together the stories of various characters in Washington, D.C. in the 1960's and early 1970's. Critically praised for its historical accuracy, relatively unbiased appraisal of the successes and failures of the Van Dyke administration (compared to shows such as The West Wing) and its superb writing and cast, the show won numerous Emmys and was HBO's top rated show for several seasons.
