Unfortunatly for him, his employer died while on a trip to the United States of influenza, leaving Waters stranded in a foreign country without the means to return to England. For severals decades, Waters had stood loyal on his sires side, although his blood bonds to both his sire and Edward's sister Vera who is also his lover have begun to insire conflict between his loyalties. His blood bond to his sire is wearing down and waters is beginning to have wild fantasies of him running away with Vera. Waters also maintains a friendship with the Nosferatu Alonzo Guillen, who is willing to aid him.
