- Sinestro is a Yellow Lantern and member of the super-villain team, the Legion of Doom.

He is one of the greatest and most powerful members of the Green Lantern Corps, leader of the "Sinestro Corps", and arch-nemesis of Hal Jordan, John Stewart, The Lantern Corps and the Guardians. Sinestro is master of a group of vicious Lantern's known as the "Sinestro Corps" in order to wipe out all Green Lantern's and bring a new order to the universe. He was created by John Broome and Gil Kane and first appeared in "Green Lantern Vol. 2 #7" (August 1961).

But Sinestro traveled to the Antimatter Universe where he visited the planet Qward. It was there that he found his Qwardian Power Ring, which had yellow energy rather than green, and proved to be an effective weapon against the Green Lantern Corps due to their ring's weakness to the color yellow. - Thaal Sinestro is the universe's most diabolically evil moustachioed bastard. His ultimate goal, is to be exactly like his hero, Green Lantern, but more evil, and also with a moustache. He's so evil, he kills people just for killing. After years of being the Green Lantern Corps' biggest douchebag, he was kicked out for douchebaggery. This makes him hate everything green. Because he no longer has any friends in space, he has to hang out with the biggest losers on Earth.

At some point, Sinestro obtained his own, yellow power ring that was as every bit as formidable as a Green Lantern's power ring, making him more dangerous than ever and a deadly threat to every Green Lantern in the universe. Swearing a blood oath of revenge and vowing to destroy the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro began hunting Green Lanterns and collecting their rings.
