Bladj was a rat in Gruntan Kurdly's Brownrat horde. He was apparently a sort of minor officer, as he was often called upon to lead patrols or charges. He was sent, along with Stringle, to try and find and kill Gorath the Flame. While leading a charge up a plateau upon which Gorath and Salixa were defending themselves, Bladj was killed by a boulder rolled down by Gorath. Bladj was cruel; as seen by the treatment of the weasel Magger, whom he had taken prisoner. He called his captive "Maggot" and punched him when Stringle told him to serve breakfast to Magger.
