Mark D. Futato is an Old Testament scholar and is currently the Robert L. Maclellan Professor of Old Testament as well as Academic Dean at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Semitic Languages from the Catholic University of America and an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia). He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. He has written several volumes on the Psalms, including most recently Interpreting the Psalms: An Exegetical Handbook (Kregel, 2007), as well as Beginning Biblical Hebrew (Eisenbrauns, 2003).
