- The Maw is the tenth and final campaign level of Halo: Combat Evolved. In this level, John-117 makes his way through the wreck of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, in order to detonate the ship's fusion reactors and destroy Halo, the Flood, and the Covenant armada, thus preventing the destruction of humans and potentially, all sentient life in the galaxy. Just like the previous two levels, the player has no allies.

- The Maw referred to an inordinately-large cluster of black holes, located near the spice-producing planetoid of Kessel. There were so many interstellar deathtraps in the cluster, that it was theorized that some ancient force {not to be confused with the Force) had gathered the various phenomena from throughout the rest of the galaxy.

"Well we were invited," His wife Leia responds. HELP, Leia hears. "What?" Leia asks, not realizing it was not Han who was speaking. "I didn't say anything." Leia hears Luke walk up behind them. He goes and sits in the chair next to her. "Alright, are you two going to tell me what this is about?" Han asks, knowing the answer. "We're not entirely sure."

- The Maw is, as his name would indicate, a Maw. He is both indestructible and voracious, but Frank's natural Teltarian abilities allowed him to survive his face-to-face encounter with the Maw, and soon they began to gain a relationship. He became loyal to Frank, and if it weren't for his being a threat towards all life in the universe, he'd be the perfect pet.
