- Monster Mash is a 1962 novelty song by Bobby Picket. In I Love Lisa, Marty played it on his radio show on Valentine's Day and was criticized by Bill for it on-air, while Bart listens. At the end of the episode, he makes the same mistake while Chief Wiggum listens. In The Great Wife Hope, the wrestling match is shown to have left Moe's Tavern empty while a jukebox plays the title line on repeat.
- Monster Mash is an achievement unlockable on the iOS, Android, Nook, and PS Vita versions of Plants vs. Zombies. Monster Mash is earned by killing five or more zombies with a single Squash. The player should try to let some zombies stack in front of a defensive plant (such as Wall-nut or Tall-nut), dig it up and plant a Squash there. This is fairly easy to accomplish in Last Stand and Bobsled Bonanza by placing a Wall-nut and wait for two Zombie Bobsled Teams to come in the same lane. Then, place a Squash behind the Wall-nut and eight zombies will be killed by a single Squash. Another easy level to achieve this achievement is Column Like You See 'Em, as there is a very high concentration of zombies.

- The Op-Yop was a toy marketed in the 1960's by a company based in Royal Oak, Michigan called Kramer Designs. The company's original location was an office on Adams in the neighboring community of Birmingham. The history we could find was based on a Time Magazine article in 1968 where it was stated that a million of the Op-Yops had been sold and another million were expected to sell by Christmas. In my travels, I have found some additional information including an internal memo relating to some six months worth of advertising that was done on the Soupy Sales Show with Soupy doing the commercials shot in Detroit. There were also memo's to retailers advising them to stock up on the toy to be in sync with the Soupy Sales ads. I tracked down the original molder who made the parts and talked to
- One evening, a mad scientist named Boris sees the monster that he has created rise from his slab and perform a dance called the Monster Mash. The dance quickly becomes popular with other monsters. Ghouls come to Boris' castle to join in the fun and "get a jolt" from the mad scientist's electrodes. A party is organized which is attended by zombies, the Wolf Man, Dracula and his son. At the party, Boris' assistant Igor plays the "Monster Mash" song on chains while howling dogs accompany him. The song is also played by bands called the Coffin Bangers and the Crypt-Kicker Five.
- The Monster Mash (aka Operation Meowing Thunder) was a war that began on September 25th with Monsters University declaring on Screaming Red Asses, Varangian Guard, and Sovereign League of Armed Powers. According to President Hardin, leader of MU, "Monsters University picked Jack Layton and his alliance to hit before that happened. In his own words "Monsters University's reason for war is war itself", his past actions against us and friends did him no favors. I hope that explains it. As for SRA, we don't like them. The slap guy was sra government, and banned defended his dual membership, which I understand. Not that he's doing a great job, but I respect it." In time MU has also declared on Federation of Cobra, Apocalypse Meow, and Supernova X.
- Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Dracula, the Wolf Man, the Mummy, Frankenstein's Monster, Gillman, and all those other classic monsters hung out? Short version: Yes. Yes it would. This is prevalent in a setting where the heroes live on Planet Eris as part of a Fantasy Kitchen Sink with a sprawling Crossover Cosmology, especially if they themselves are supernatural. The creatures, rather than become shut-ins, never leaving their designated niche or dark corner of the world... socialize. The Vampires and Werewolves, though antagonistic, agree to hold up a mutual Masquerade against humans. Fairies and ghosts work together to scare local homeowners. And the wizards work with all of them to Save Both Worlds.
