- Usurpers are a rare species of canine that are found across Deurlyth. Their presence in the world is almost non-existent due to their incredibly small population. Not much is known about where they come from, only that they appear two or three times every few hundred years. Usurpers have been researched only a few number of times throughout history. Never has one been captured, only studied in the wild from a distance. Their most prominent trait is their ability to merge common wolf packs. An Usurper will track down wolf packs and challenge the alpha. The alpha of a common wolf pack stands no match against an Usurper, the alpha quickly being defeated. With the pack's alpha out of the way, the Usurper assumes postion of the pack's alpha and merges the new pack with its own. The largest recorded number of packs an Usurper has merged is four, averaging sixty wolves. A more specfic trait of Usupers is their heightened senses, all of their abilities superior to a common wolf. Usurpers average from 3'3" feet to 3'7" feet tall. Their mouths are equipped with longer fanged teeth. Never have two Usurper packs bumped heads. This is mostly due to the fact there have never been two seen during the same time period.
