The Traveling Thistledown Troupe was a group of traveling performers who entertained the residents of Redwall Abbey during the feast which marked Autumn's final day. The troupe was led by Hypericum Hadduck Hare, a fun and colorfully dressed hare, who used a big seashell to announce each of the performers or groups of performers. The troupe was composed of many creatures of different species, including mice, moles, otters, hedgehogs, squirrels, voles, dormice and one large and immensely strong badger.

The troupe was invited to participate in the feast at Redwall after their performance which was a great success. Later, they joined in the snow games with the other Abbey residents. Bungo and Tubspike had been sent by the Father Abbot to greet the entertainers, who announced themselves from a distance with drums, flutes and singing.
