Doji Kiriko was the daughter of the former Crane Clan Champion who in the Kimura village threw herself repeatedly in front of Isawa Asahina's attacks to save the lives of hundreds of villagers, he was so moved that he relented his assault. Asahina left the Phoenix and nursed Kiriko back to health. When she was whole again, he married her and was granted his own family within the Crane. The two of them founded the Shinden Asahina and started the pacifistic Asahina family. Their son Asahina Miroken continued their ways.
