Like the FGM100, the FGM300 is based on the Ibanez S series and has flush set pickups and a deep-set neck and tremolo which allows an extra low string set-up. Changes include new pickups and the Green Metallic finish. Both GM (Green Metallic) and MG (Metallic Green) are used in the catalogs, but are supposedly the same. The FGM300 was discontinued after 1996 in favor of the new FGM400.
