- Majungatholus (meaning "Majunga Dome") was an Abelisaur of the infraorder Ceratosauria. Majungatholus had an unusually thick skull, so when its skull cap was first discovered in India, scientists thought that it was the skull of a pachycephalosaur. It wasn't until several years later, when scientists found a full skull, that scientists realized it must be an abelisaur theropod. This dinosaur lived about 75 mya in Late Cretaceous India. It closely resembled its close relatives, Tarascosaurus, Carnotaurus , and Abelisaurus. Majungatholus is now considered to be a junior synonym of Majungasaurus
