A quaterniverse is a type of -verse related to the complexverse which uses quaternion vectors rather than merely complex ones. Each position or other numerical value thus has a minimum of four components (more if it is measured in multiple spacial dimensions, of course). As multiplication of quaternions is not commutative, "normal" mathematics breaks down in these -verses, and chemical life cannot survive, as it is split into arbitrary positive and negative pieces.
