Ch'Maras was a security crewman assigned to USS Aventine during the late 24th century. In 2381, ch'Maras was one of the security personnel under away team security supervisor Naomi Darrow who discovered the bodies of Yott and Komer; the four were sworn to keep the deaths secret until they had more information. (ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night) Based on the naming structure, it is possible that ch'Maras was most likely a Andorian.

(ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night) The Aventine was one of the vessels launching a counter offensive against the Borg Collective during their invasion that year. ch'Maras, as well as T'Prel, Englehorn, Darrow, and Malaya, were part of Lonnoc Kedair's strike team when the Aventine attacked and boarded a Borg scout, hoping to secure its vinculum. Englehorn and Darrow alternated fire with T'Prel and Kedair to battle waves of Borg drones, while ch'Maras and Malaya guarded the rear flank. After dispatching their attackers, ch'Maras and Malaya took point as they moved deeper into the craft. Kedair accidentally caused a friendly fire incident, resulting in several casualties and deaths, but T'Prel reminded her that they should keep moving; for her urgings, T'Prel was ordered to take point with Englehorn. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls) Based on the naming structure, it is possible that ch'Maras was most likely a Andorian.
