This is the one ring and its power is dangerous. It will make you obsessed with the power as it will make you invisible when you put it on your finger. Only a trusted person can hold it you have to control yourself. The only person that can handle it is Braga and he is trusted with holding it. Baramourn and Bard just couldn't handle the power of the ring. Mauron is the rings creator and the ring can only be destroyed at the center of his kingdom, Mount Boom. Brandydalf is the one who has possession of the ring and wont become possessed with holding it. He gave it to Braga. The One Ring hasn't been destroyed yet but maybe soon it will! But this ring is really dangerous it is precious to anyone making them say "My precious." in a scratchy voice and it makes them go crazy!

If that were the case, then how is it that he managed to lose it during the Seige of Barad-dur? However one may answer that question, the One Ring was lost when it was cut from his hand by one Isildur of Gondor; he later claimed the ring for himself and was promptly dispatched by orcs hiding in a forest near the Gladden Fields. The Ring later ensnared other victims, including the creature Gollum, a Hobbit named Deagol and, for a time, Bilbo Baggins (hero of The Hobbit). The Ring wound up being destroyed much later, during the War of the Ring, after a small mishap between Gollum and the Hobbit who was carrying the Ring at the time, Bilbo's nephew Frodo Baggins. With the One Ring destroyed, peace returned to Middle-earth.
