The Pteratops Lodge was a treetop hotel that was going to be built high above the ground in the Aviary on Isla Nublar in the novel. The Aviary featured the Cearadactylus. From the lodge, visitors could observe the creatures at flight level. It was never completed because these creatures were fiercely territorial, diving down to strike workman on the ground, knocking them unconscious, and so building never advanced past the foundations. They fought among themselves for territory and attacked any animal that came into the area they marked out. This page needs serious attention!
