- This weapon's Japanese name is pronounced the same as the High Mage's Staff. is the normal Japanese name given to mages in Final Fantasy, however that is derived from an actual Japanese word meaning magic user, , using different kanji that are still read the same. Given that this uses the same word for Mages, a more appropriate localization for this weapon would be "Mage('s) Staff".

- The Wizard's Staff is a hand item that allows the player to punch with a gush of wind. This item was implemented in the game in SummerFest 2015. However, the recipe of the Wizard's Staff was discovered almost 2 months after. This item was initially sponsored by PonyGarYellow, Devinn, and SydeFX. However, due to SydeFX's permanent suspension, his name was removed from the sponsor.
- The wizard's staff has an attack bonus of +15. It can be equipped by Mages and Sages.
- Wizard's Staff is a weapon in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
- Wizard's Staff is a Shianti's primary combat weapon. It appears to be a normal quarterstaff but is stronger than metal. It can be used to create a destructive beam of energy at the expense of one or more Willpower points. The greater the range of the attack, the more Willpower points it takes. It can also be used in close combat where it takes one Willpower point per strike. The damage can be increased by expending more Willpower. For example, if two Willpower points are used, damage to the opponent will be doubled. If three Willpower points are used, the damage will be tripled and so on. It can also grant light to its bearer. At the expense of one Willpower point, it will shed a perpetual light that will extinguish itself only at the mental command of the bearer.
