- Skadi brings mostly defensive benefits plus an economic technology. She increases Throwing Axeman attack, which makes these units better at attacking and defending (especially against other infantry). As it is slow, Skadi's myth unit, the Frost Giant, is best used defensively, to weaken an attacking army. The attack should be targeted at powerful enemies when possible. Her God Power, Frost, can also be used defensively – typically this will be in an emergency when a player needs time to counter the now-frozen attackers. The power can also be used to stop a defending army in its tracks allowing the player to attack with impunity.

Her mother died when she was very young, and Skadi has only vague memories of her, but her father often told stories. Even from a young age, Skadi was comfortable in the wilderness, and learned to shoot just barely after she could walk. When her father retired his old bones to the warmth and comfort of Ironforge, Skadi decided it was time to strike out on her own. She has no job in the traditional sense, prefering to travel and take up odd jobs where she can find them, though she seems to have inherited her father's skill at leatherworking. More recently, she's also studied the magic of runes, meant t
- The Skadi Cart is a four-wheel Terran vehicle that is very similar to the Nero, but instead of using flamethrowers, the Skadi uses dual freezing breeze launchers to freeze enemies to death. The breeze has a very long and wide radius as it can freeze a small swarm of Zerglings very easily. The Skadi's wheels are armed with spikes so that it can crush on units after freezing them. The Skadi's firepower seems to deal very little damage to structures, but it can freeze structures' system to the level of cold snap and simply paralyze the structure from unit production, providing upgrades and defense.
