I think we should abolish external links in article text. Reason? In the printable version (accessed through the "printable version" link on the left navigation), external links are expanded and the full URL is inserted into the article text. Example: [1] Therefore, I suggest making a "Notes and references" section, like it is done on Wikipedia, that will serve as a collection of notes and external links referenced in the article. For an example, see Jedi Exile (it makes use of two complementary templates, and ). - Sikon [Talk] 04:28, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

RMF 19:36, 31 March 2006 (UTC) * That does look nice, but should it possibly be combined with the External links heading? --Xwing328 16:47, 2 April 2006 (UTC) * As an added note, since these articles are written in-universe, I doubt that users of the GFFA would see a link in the main text to TF.N, etc. ;) Adamwankenobi 12:54, 5 April 2006 (PDT) * I definitely think we should start using notes; as RMF said, it looks very encyclopedic, and I believe a good amount of those notes is basically a requirement on Wikipedia. --MarcK [talk] 14:13, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
