Martin L. Marks (born 1962) is a former Mayor of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, where he had served since 2000. Marks was a Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives in New Jersey's 7th congressional district to succeed retiring congressman Mike Ferguson in 2008. However, he lost the election and subsequently endorsed State Senator Leonard Lance, the Republican nominee. Marks was a Republican candidate for state assembly in 2009 and the margin of victory for Linda Stender in the 22nd district was less than 2%.
