Renata Linguini is Linguini's deceased mother and Gusteau's former friend. Before the start of the movie, she entered into an affair with Gusteau and eventually became pregnant, presumably ending the relationship afterwards. Renata then raised Alfredo, possibly alone while never telling him or anyone else that Gusteau is his father. She became ill sometime before the movie, and wrote a letter for Skinner to get Linguini a job at Gusteau's. Her letter says she died of sickness and Linguini is Gusteau's son. Remy runs aways from Skinner with it almost losing it in the wind. She was probably Italian.
