- Like an iron curtain Ivan Drago says little, and shows little emotion. He allows his wife to on his behalf during interviews, and press conferences. The Soviet Union invests a lot into Drago training, monitoring his heart rate, power, and strength with computers during training. In the film he can be seen recieving intramuscular injections, which are implied to be anabolic steroids. His wife however rejects any notion that he uses such, comparing her husband to America's Popeye.
- Ivan Drago is a Russian boxer, Olympian, an Infantry Captain for the Soviet Army, and was the main antagonist in Rocky IV. He was an amateur boxer and Olympic gold medallist from the Soviet Union, armed with a punch over 2,000 psi. Although he was able to easily defeat and kill Rocky Balboa's friend and trainer, Apollo Creed, he was knocked out by Balboa.
- Ivan Drago is seen facing off against Uncle Sam in the song "Ollie North" in "Stanny Slickers 2: The Legend of Ollie's Gold". Although the fighter Drago is depicted, he is standing in for the American slang-term for all Soviets as 'Ivan', a popular name throughout Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Roger's persona of Demitri Krotchliknioff in "The Wrestler" is intended to parody Ivan.

He is a small-time boxer and a WWE gold medallist from the Soviet Union, armed with a punch over 2,000 psi. Although he was able to easily defeat and kill both, Rocky Balboa and his friend and trainer, Apollo Creed, he was no match for the notorious John Cena.
- Ivan Drago (Russian: Иван Драго) is the main antagonist in the 1985 film Rocky IV. He is portrayed by Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren. Drago is a boxing champion from Russia (the Soviet Union at the time) and also a captain in the Russian military, who is known to have superhuman strength and is shown having steroids injected into him during one of Rocky's montages. His wife, Ludmilla Drago, acts as his spokeswoman during interviews and press conferences, which Drago's manager, Nicolai Koloff, also uses to run down America and boast of Russian superiority in propagandistic fashion. Early in the movie, when he steps into the ring for an exhibition match against Apollo Creed (who has come out of retirement for the bout), he easily kills Creed without remorse in the ring in the second round.
